More about ... Chapada Diamantina National Park

The Chapada Diamantina National Park, has approximately a 1,520 km² in region of Bahia state in the Northest of Brazil. The principal city is Lençóis, but you can also find gods hotels and restaurants in Andarai (40 miles from Lençóis). When I was there I spend 3 nights in Andarai, to know all the places near, and then went to Lençóis, that is a good option since the both places has attractions to see.

The park stay approximately 250 miles inland from Salvador, the capital city of Bahia, and there is two ways to get there.

By air, going to Salvador, then connect again to Lençóis. There is just one company that flyers this way (voetrip.com.br).

By road, you have an option to rent a car in Salvador, and Lençóis is about six hours drive and the driveway could be very interesting or if you prefer you can also take one of three daily buses operated by the Real Expresso the trip is also six-hour.
